We have not had a party in a long while.
I had been on the brink of death a few times the past year.
My husband is always traveling, in airplanes of all kinds, cars - some nice, some without side view mirrors with all kinds of drivers, in foreign places. Someone calls an airplane 'flying coffin".
No wedding in sight yet, at the moment, for our children. (Sigh!)
Hoping that our children will know that a lasting marriage is possible even between imperfect people.
I will have stem cell transplant soon. Who knows what will happen next?
We have been married thirty years as of June 3, 2011.
We celebrated it on June 11, 2011. We had fun! Enjoy the photos.

Hi, Ana!
I'm not sure whether you got my comments (the system kept me 're-routing'!)
Congratulations, Ana and Howard! 30great years . . . and counting. A strong marriage is indeed a PRICELESS GIFT from the Lord. We named our eldest daughter 'Pearl' as she was born around the time my parents celebrated their pearl wedding anniversary (December 1986). She got married to Paul Mwansa on May 22. We had a 7-wk marathon of travel and celebrations in the US, Zambia, Ethiopia and Kenya. Your anniversary pictures are gorgeous -you look fabulous after 30 years! More meaningful indeed is the phrase in the wedding vows - "in sickness and in health". Our almighty God will continue journeying with you through the 'runs and rapids' of life!
Hi, Prusie - thank you! Yes, I heard about your daughter;s wedding - congratulations to you all - must be great for you. When our children are happy, we are happy as well. Thanks for stopping by this blog.
Happy for you Ate Ann & Kuya Howard! You're a great inspiration for us too...Happy Pearl Anniversary! You look great! ---thanks for the blogs too. Missing you...

Thanks, dynz. We just want to make as much great memories as we can. We were hesitant at first, but happy that we did it, even just to show our children that a meaningful, lasting marriage is possible even between 2 imperfect people.
